Ebay is all about squeezing every penny from its customers. We know what will happen if ebay takes over craigslist. They are greedy selfish monopoly, and I wish one day that Microsoft or Google launch a competition to ebay. Because ebay along with paypal make a perfect villain. They charge you for posting, they charge you for gallery. They they charge you after sale, and then paypal takes its share. After calculating what ebay takes from me it, it is minimum of %15 percent. That is $15 dollar from a hundred dollar item. that is insane. And guess what, if you try to go around ebay fees by offering the item for less and adding that to the shipping, ebay gives you a warning message for putting up the shipping to high, and they do it because the more you put for shipping and less for the item the less they make, so they warn you to be a good ebay citizen and follow the system. For some items, it used to be, that you were able to sell them for one penny and put shipping $5. Now you cant, because ebay made sure you don't screw with them. Now they put a minimum for certain categories. Ebay is a big monster that oppresses its customer base because they know they are the only ones. Many business live off of ebay and as a result suffer right now. Craigslist has never done this to its customer base. I use them when necessary and I have less problems with crooks because they tell you right away to not send money out of state ...etc. With ebay, I have problem with fake buyers not paying. Today 7 customers bought my products and only one paid. The rest are fakes because I cant put a rule for 0 feedback customers not to bid. Ebay doesnt provide me that option.
